Accessibility

What we hold ourselves to, and how to tell us when we miss.

Our commitment

We want this website, and every website we build, to be usable by people with disabilities. We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at level AA, which is the standard commonly applied to Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 508 expectations in the United States.

What we do

Pages are built with semantic HTML and landmark regions, a single main heading per page, a skip link to the main content, visible keyboard focus, text alternatives for meaningful images, form labels tied to their inputs, colour contrast checked against the AA thresholds, and layouts that reflow down to small screens and up to two hundred percent zoom without loss of content.

Known limitations

This is an ongoing effort rather than a finished state. Third party components and embedded content may not always meet the same standard, and new pages are reviewed as they are published. Where we find a gap we fix it rather than describing it away.

Reporting a barrier

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, tell us what page you were on and what happened. We treat accessibility reports as priority work and will reply with a fix or a plan.

Report an accessibility issue at legal@archived.fit or through the contact page.
