Privacy Policy
Plain language, no dark patterns. This is what we collect and why.

Who we are
Archived Fit is a website design, build, hosting and maintenance studio operating in the United States. This policy explains what we collect through this website, our consultation form and our live chat, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Information we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us: your name, business name, email address, optional phone number, business type, and the project details or chat messages you write. We also record limited technical signals with each submission, such as a one way hashed fingerprint of your connection, the time of the submission and an automated spam score, so we can stop abuse. We do not store your raw IP address.
Live chat and automated replies
The live chat is answered first by an automated assistant and may then be continued by a person on our team. Chat transcripts are stored so we can follow up, and they may be reviewed internally for quality and security. Please do not send payment card numbers, passwords, government identifiers or health information through the chat or the contact form.
How we use it
Information is used to reply to your enquiry, prepare a free concept and a proposal, deliver website, hosting, domain and support services, keep records required for tax and accounting, and protect the site against spam and abuse. We do not sell your information, we do not share it for cross context behavioural advertising, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
Service providers
We rely on third parties for hosting, database storage, domain registration, email delivery, the automated chat assistant and website analytics. They receive only the information required to perform that function and are bound by their agreements with us. We do not authorise them to use your information for their own marketing.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses only what is required to function, including a session cookie for our internal support console, plus privacy respecting analytics that measure page views in aggregate. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not build advertising profiles. Because we do not track you across other sites, we treat Global Privacy Control and similar browser signals as already satisfied.
Data retention
Enquiry and chat records are kept while we are in conversation and for up to twenty four months afterwards, then deleted. Client records are kept for as long as the account is active and for the period required by tax and accounting rules. You can ask us to delete your records sooner.
Security
Information is stored in an access controlled database that is not readable from the public internet. Our internal support console is protected by credentials, an encrypted session, lockout after repeated failed sign in attempts and is excluded from search engines. Traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfect, so we also limit what we collect in the first place.
Your privacy rights
Wherever you live in the United States, you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and ask us how it has been shared. If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA also give you the right to know the categories of personal information collected, the right to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect any), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. Residents of states with comparable laws, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Texas, have equivalent rights. Children
This website and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be noted on the contact page. Questions about this policy can be sent to legal@archived.fit.
